Taxpayer Education & Communication (TEC) is a unit of the Small Business/Self-Employed Division of IRS. Our mission is to educate and inform small businesses and self-employed taxpayers about their tax obligation by developing educational products and services focused on customer needs by providing pre-filing services to help taxpayers understand and comply with the tax laws. We invite you to partner with us to increase awareness of a service valuable to you, in the Day Care Industry. It is the Day Care Project Outreach Program. Research indicates that there exist a large number of Day Care Providers, new to the Federal Tax system that have little to no knowledge of self-employment and employment tax obligations. Our goal is to increase the filing and payment compliance of employment taxes and selfemployment taxes in the Day Care Industry.
